Yes there are thousands of apps out there and a few dozen notes worthy of the music alone. Here are three music apps you will find useful on a daily basis for listening to your favorite music online to discovering new bands and their songs to finding local live music anywhere.

As a true music lover I like to keep up with the latest tech in the music industry. I have learned that a mobile app doesn't  have to have a billion downloads for it to be ideal for your needs. First and most notable are Pandora for music online. Yes Pandora, that wonderful app we can't live without. Pandora is pretty spot on when it comes to choosing music you like to hear based on prior selections. The free version is a bargain but for under a buck a month you can have unlimited access to your favorite music. The Pandora app is like having a mobile DJ play your favorite music.. cool!

Now lets say you want to discover new bands and their music. Band of the Day is an app that, well, suggests a band every day. They allow you to sample 3 to 5 songs of the featured band and if you like what you hear you can click a link to iTunes to purchase any of the band's songs. Band of the day will let you view the last 30 days picks. There are so many cool new bands popping up and this is a great way to expand your music library.

But lets say you've had enough music online and want to experience the real thing as in “local live music”.  There is a new app on the market called Muisc Punk. This app allows you to find what's playing in any city by simply by using the GPS feature or by entering your city. Then voila, you have a list of bands and DJs playing right around you. Best of all you can sample a video of the artist before you trek out to see them. The coolest thing about the Music Punk app is that it is all about live music and eliminates the “Chance Factor”. If you are a musician this is a great app because you can easily upload your own gigs to the app...Great for traveling bands and it's free.

Kids are vulnerable to a lot of things and even if you if you do not teach them, they will still learn the things that you ought to teach.
